12-day Yunnan Kunming Lijiang Winter Tour

Day By Day

Day 1 Arrival in Kunming
Upon arrival in Kunming, you will meet your local tour guide at the airport and be escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is your free relax, or step out onto the city for a little adventure of your own.

     
Day 2 Kunming/Jianshui
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Jianshui Ancient Town
After breakfast in your hotel, you will be driven to Jianshui, visit the Zhang Family's Garden, Confucian Temple and Jianshui Ancient Town.

    
Day 3 Jianshui/Yuanyang
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Yuanyang Rice Terraces,
You today's tour will start with a morning visit to the Double Dragon Bridge, then drive to Yuanyang to view the breathtaking Yuanyang terraced rice paddy fields and the sunset at Tiger Mouth.

     
Day 4 Yuanyang/Kunming
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Yuanyang Rice Terraces,
Today you will enjoy the terraced rice paddy fields and the sunrise at Duoyishu and visit a local ethnic fair at Xinjie Town. Later drive back to Kunming.  

     
Day 5 Kunming/Dali
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Chongshengsi Three Pagodas, Erhai Lake,
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to fly to Dali. Upon your arrival at Dali, you will visit the Three Pagodas and take a boat cruise on Erhai Lake.

     
Day 6 Dali/Lijiang
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Xizhou Village, Lijiang Old City, Black Dragon Pool,
Today you will visit Xizhou Old Town and Bai Minority's Houses, drive to Lijiang for romantic sightseeing around Lijiang Old Town and Black Dragon Pool Park.

     

Day 7 Lijiang
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Shuhe Ancient Town, Baisha Old Town,
After breakfast you will explore Yuhu Village, Joseph Rock's Former Residence, ancient murals in Baisha Village and Suhe Old Town. Optional ethnic night show - Lishui Jinsha.

     
Day 8 Lijiang/Shangri-la
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: First Bend of the Yangtze River, Tiger Leaping Gorge,
Today you will be driven to visit Shigu Old Town and view the The First Bend on the Yangtze River. And then go head for Tiger Leaping Gorge, process to Shangri-la Old Town.

     

Day 9 Shangri-la
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Songzanlin Monastery,
Pay a morning visit the Pudacuo National Park, famous for its plants, lakes, rare animals and birds. And then you come to see Gedan Songzanlin Lamasery, a temple which is nicknamed " The Lesser Potala Palace". Lastly enjoy an evening  exploration the Zhongdian Old Town.

     
Day 10 Shangri-la/Kunming
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Yunnan Ethnic Village, Dianchi Lake ,
Fly back to Kunming and visit Yunnan Ethnic Village. And then come to the forest park on Western Mountains where you can have a commanding view of the beautiful Dianchi Lake at Dragon Gate.

     

Day 11 Kunming
Meals: B, L, D
Places to visit: Yuantong Temple, Stone Forest,
After breakfast, you will pay a full day to see Kunming Flowers & Birds Market, Yuantong Temple and Stone Forest.

     
Day 12 Kunming/departure
Meals: B
Today you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to next destionation.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.


Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.


Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.


Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.


Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.


Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.


Tour Arrangements:

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
