Jilin University to Celebrate its 70th Anniversary

Jilin University, one of China's top institutions of higher education, will welcomes its alumni to join in the celebration of its 70th anniversary in Changchun, on September 16.

Since its foundation in 1946, the university has witnessed the booming growth of Northeast China, and in recent years it has seen rapid development of its scale and research capabilities.

Now the university has the largest population of students in China with more than 70,000 at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels in association with more than 10,000 faculty and staff, including more than 30 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Jilin University's 500,000 graduates have made great contributions to all walks of life in China and abroad, and their presence at the celebration is warmly anticipated.
