Trial Run of the Ice and Snow World Expected to Start about on Dec 22, 2015

It has been learned from Harbin Cultural Tourism Group that the construction of the ice buildings in Harbin Ice and Snow World is progressing smoothly and currently more than half of the construction schedule has been completed and a trial run is expected to start in about a week.

It has been introduced by the person in charge of the Ice and Snow World that the Ice and Snow World of this session will offer 74 ice and snow landscapes, involving total ice consumption of 180,000m3 and total snow consumption of 150,000m3, exceeding the ice and snow consumption in previous years. Currently, 2/3 of the overall construction schedule have been completed and the construction of the main part of the charming main tower has entered the closeout stage. The other ice and snow buildings of various levels, such as the Ice Peak Gate, the Snow Great Wall and the Shining China, are under intense construction.

Besides ice and snow landscapes, the international performances and the "Ice and Snow Carnival" will be equally striking. More than 30 actors from 10 countries will participate in performances involved in the ice dance show and the international runway show. The "Ice and Snow Carnival" consists of three parts, i.e. the "Ice and Snow Winter Olympics Memories", the "Ice and Snow Amusement Memories" and the "Ice and Snow Passion Memories", of which the "Ice and Snow Winter Olympics Memories" includes such performances as U-shaped groove, winter swimming, figure skating and ice hockey; the "Ice and Snow Amusement Memories" includes not only traditional events such as skiing, skating, ice sledge, snow circle, snowfield football, snowfield tug-of-war, ice gyros and ice slide but also new entertainment activities such as swing ice mobile, skating assistant, energy cycling, ice biking, snow bucket rolling, curling and colorful skateboarding; the "Ice and Snow Passion Memories" mainly involves challenging the world's longest 320m ice slide, a large snow circle with a 13m drop and a treasure hunt game covering an area of 12,000 square meters.

The Ice and Snow World of this session highlights appreciation, involvement, entertainment and challenge. It has been revealed that the international performance teams involved in the ice dance show and the international runway show have arrived and are in tight rehearsal now. The equipment needed for performance and entertainment events such as the U-shaped groove, figure skating, ice hockey and snowfield football has safely arrived, with the fields for such events being put up one by one.
