This year’s World Agriculture Expo, in the city Harbin, Heilongjiang province got off to a good start, on Nov 10, in the city’s International Conference, Exhibition and Sports Center, with more than 1,000 enterprises from China and abroad on hand to look for business opportunities, under the theme of “Green food – new consumption, new economy”.
The expo, which offers hundreds of agricultural items such as cereals, dairy products, animal by-products, and agriculture machinery in 12 exhibit areas for green and organic food, science and technology, “Internet + agriculture”, livestock, financial services, time-honored brands, logistics and supply chains, branding, and food exports.
There was also some match-making between agricultural cooperatives and producers, and promotions for local products to provide a "one-stop" site for purchases and sales.
Taking part in the opening ceremony were Heilongjiang’s governor, Lu Hao, vice-governors Sun Yao and Lv Weifeng, and Harbin’s mayor, Song Xibin.
