Four hotels in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province - the Sofitel Wanda, the Kempinski, Wanda Realm and Shangri-La - are holding a four-week food festival, Oct 16 - Nov 6, with master chefs of the hotels offering their versions of both eastern and western cuisine.
They cover French, German, Thai, Indian, and South East Asian foods and in the words of Fan Siteng, general manager of Sofitel Wanda Harbin, “We want to take people closer to international food in Harbin, so we have lowered the prices to make them acceptable for more people.”
Four of the hotels will take turns with the cooking, at a price of 188 yuan ($30) per person.
