Russia will be adding another consulate-general in China’s Northeast in the city of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, the provincial foreign affairs office has said, following the earlier opening of one in Shenyang, Liaoning province.
The announcement came from Andrey Denisov, Russia’s ambassador to China, at a recent news conference.
Heilongjiang’s foreign affairs office said that they are still working on the location of the consulate-general although it will probably be along Yaojing St in the Nangang district.
The report says China also has a similar plan to set up a consulate-general in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
