Starwood Announces Michael Koltes New Castle Hotel in Dalian

Starwood Hotels and Resorts has appointed Michael Koltes as general manager of the Castle Hotel in Dalian, NE China.

With more than 20 years experience in the industry, 11 as a general manager, Koltes has extensive knowledge and skills in both pre-opening and operating properties, having worked with various hotel groups in different cultures worldwide.

Sitting on Lotus Mountain and overlooking Xinghai Square and the Yellow Sea, the Castle Hotel is a landmark in the northeastern coastal city of Dalian.

"Chinese travelers don’t need to fly to Europe to see castles. The Castle Hotel provides the best service and flawless amenities within an enriching and authentic setting," he said.

"China has great potential. Here in Dalian, it has changed dramatically since I was working at Swissotel Dalian".

According to him, instead of business travellers, leisure travellers who pay for themselves and look for good experience are the major clients of The Castle Hotel.
