Harbin Subway Line 1 Starts Security Checks from August 1

Harbin’s Subway Line 1, in Heilongjiang province, is starting security checks as of Aug 1, with the equipment already in place at all stations, according to its metro operator, which explains that there will be the usual prohibited items such as knives, but also a list of items with a restricted amount, such as Chinese liquor, cigarette lighters and floral water.

They also say that they have had a trial run since July 20, at five stations along the Line – Ha’nan (Harbin South Railway Station), Hada, Ligongdaxue (Harbin University of Science and Technology), Gongchengdaxue (Harbin Engineering University) and Hexinglu – and that the full use will start soon, with routine examination of all bags and liquids, random personal checks and inquiries in the case of doubt.
