At the 2015 Northeast Asia Commodities Fair, which opened in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on June 24, there are more than 1,000 exhibitors from China and abroad with some typical, popular products on display, such as oil paintings from Russia and beverages, foods, clothing, cosmetics, and ornaments from Taiwan.
This is the fourth year of the fair. It covers a 200,000-square–meter area and serves as an ideal site for China and neighboring countries Russia and South Korea to cooperate. One highlight of the expo is the gourmet carnival, which gives visitors all types of snacks from a Taiwanese night market.
It is also expected to increase communication and exchanges with Taiwanese companies, to hopefully bring in more investment to Harbin. Sponsor of this year’s Northeast Asia Commodities Fair was the Harbin government and the provincial commerce dept.
