Liaoning Shenyang Adding an Airport City

The city of Shenyang, in Liaoning province, has begun work on a nearby airport city, with a ground-breaking ceremony, on June 7, and with sponsorship from the Greenland Group's northeastern China Office and China Southern Airlines, to provide a new source of growth for the Northeast.

Greenland, which began its business in trade and contracting with its HQ in Shanghai, decided to get involved in the nation's strategy of revitalizing the Northeast. So, it shifted its focus to improving the financial prospects of the region and joined hands with China Southern, Asia's largest airline, to create an aviation industry chain with information technology, intelligent logistics, smart business services, a headquarters economy and better ecology.

The airport city, which is expected to cover 10-million square meters, will be developed as an elite community with both industrial zone and living area.
