Jilin Leaders Visit Neighboring Heilongjiang Province

The Jilin province Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, took a delegation of provincial officials on a visit to Heilongjiang province also in the Northeast, on May 18, to discuss social and economic development issues, with Bayinchaolu praising his neighbor's achievements and the rapid increase in their trade with Russia.

He also commented on the great changes in the urban landscape and how Heilongjiang has used the opportunity of China's Northeast revitalization strategy to come up with an innovative plan for greater industrial competitiveness.

The Jilin delegation said they will use their neighbor's good example of industrial conditions to speed up Jilin's economic development.

On hand to give the visiting delegates a warm welcome were Wang Xiankui, Heilongjiang's Party secretary, and Lu Hao, governor of Heilongjiang, along with other senior provincial officials.
