The Heilongjiang division of China Southern Airlines will restart flights linking Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province to Urumqi in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on March 25.
The flights will be operated using an Airbus A320 and will run once a day. The flight leaves Harbin Taiping International Airport at 8:50 am, stopping at Jinan in East China’s Shandong province for 45 minutes, before arriving in Urumqi at 3:30 pm. After a one-hour stop at Urumqi Diwopu International Airport, the flight returns to Harbin at 11:45 pm.
The new service is being offered due to the increasing demand for travel between Harbin and Urumqi.
Meanwhile, passengers departing the city of Harbin can fly to 12 cities in Xinjiang by transferring at Urumqi airport; and people in Xinjiang can travel to 17 international cities by taking flights from Harbin.
