China’s first studio for the Russian Artists Association was established on Oct 21, 2016, in Harbin.
The building for the studio, which is located at the Volga Manor, is an achievement for Harbin in terms of its cultural exchanges with Russia.
As a hub for Sino-Russian dialogue, Harbin has achieved significant results in terms of culture, arts, and economic and trade relations with Russia, according to the vice mayor of Harbin, who delivered a speech at the launch ceremony of the studio on Oct 21.
The studio covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with areas for artists designed in the style of a palace, totaling more than 6,000 square meters.
In the next 10 days, more than 20 Russian artists will create works and have exchanges, using the Volga Manor as their theme.
Many classic Russian elements have been implemented into the construction of the palace for artists.
