The 35th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival opens with a theme "20-year Grand Ceremony & Review" on January 5 in 2019. The festival is featured by nearly 100 programs, events & activities for ice and snow tourism, culture, fashion, trade and sports.
The ice and snow tourism activities mainly include the 20th Harbin Ice and Snow World, the 31st China Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, the Central Street Happy Snow Festival, the Volga Manor Castle Skiing and Winter Camping, Wanda Ice and Snow Park and other over 20 activities such as the Snow Lotus Castle Ski Resort in Hulanhekou Wetland Park, the Winter Tourism Activity in the Harbin Polarland, and the Winter Ice Fishing Tourism Festival in Changling Lake.
The ice and snow cultural activities cover the Beidahuang Ice and Snow Culture Festival, the Ice and Snow Tourism Photography Contest, the Ice and Snow Painting Exhibition, the "Winter Rhyme" Poetry Party, as well as series of international ice sculpture competition, the international combined ice sculpture competition, the international snow sculpture competition, the international snow sculpture masters' competition, and the citizen family ice and snow sculpture competition.
For ice and snow fashion activities, Harbin will offer Ha Bingxiu performance, ice and snow T stage show, model show, ice and snow group wedding, Sino-Russian youth art exchange performance, ice and snow beauty selection contest, ice child snow baby selection activity in winter architecture, music, life, entertainment and other fields.
Ice and snow economic and trade activities include 2019 Harbin Cold Region Expo & Harbin Imported Food Expo and investment negotiations.
Ice and snow sports activities covers the International Curling Master Game, the International Youth Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament, the International Volkswagen Five-a-side Snow Field Football Invitational Tournament, the International City Friendship Badminton Invitational Tournament, the Sino-Finnish (Harbin) International Cross-country Skiing Grand Prix, and the Harbin campus snow football game, winter outdoor fun games and other activities.
It is reported, the opening ceremony of the 35th China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival will be held together with the Harbin International City Friendship Exchange Conference, dating from January 4th to 5th, 2019. The main activities include opening ceremony, fireworks, concert performance, reception feast, visit and inspection, etc. The total number of participants in the opening ceremony is about 500.
