Harbin International Beer Festival

Harbin International Beer Festival is to hold in early July of every year at main venue: Harbin Ice and Snow World.  Themed as "Meet the Capital of 100-year-old Beer Culture, Inherit the Romantic Beer Cultural Tradition", the festival lasts about 10 days with a series of activities: opening ceremony with firework display, beer trade fair, beer culture exibition, beer drinking compitition, gourmet festival, amusement cruise, fash show, beer beauty compitition, art performances and more events.

Harbin is the first China's city to brew beer. Harbin brewery make the city a beer culture of over 100 years. Harbin city takes a break and honors from the most famous export Chinese "Harbin Beer".  
 
The first Harbin international beer festival launched annually since 2002. During the festival, many top brewers, breweries, beer lovers and tourists from Germany, Denmark, USA,  Russia, Japan, China and the rest of the world get together in Harbin for business talks, watching performance, free beer drinking and beer carnival on the streets

A whole public square is cordoned off and there are stages that host music concerts, dance contests. charming girl and lady beauties from Harbin and Russia will become a dazzling cityscape. Most of the beer drunk is the local Harbin brew, but there is a tent for international beers. In the summer of 2005 a number of the foreigners in the city assembled a "drinking team" and ended up getting in a drunken brawl with some locals and got hauled away by the police.

At the hometown of Chinese beer, Harbin International Beer Festival's has attracted the attentions worldwide and lend a unique charm for the beer tourism.
