Zhujiajiao Village located between Shanghai and Suzhou is an ancient water-village that was founded over 1,700 years ago. The village has 36 ancient stone bridges and thousands of buildings dating back to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties. The town is lined with rivers and canals and the buildings line these waterways. The village has many sites of historical and cultural interest, including; the Kezhi Garden, Yuanjin Buddhist Temple, and the Fangsheng Bridge.
